Nokia 7.1 Equipped with PureDisplay Technology Launched in India
HMD Global, on Friday, launched Nokia 7.1 in India. Earlier Nokia 7.1 had been launched in London on 4th October, this year.
The Nokia 7.1 is Nokia’s latest mid-range smartphone. It has a 5.84-inch FHD+ display. The device is the first to feature Nokia’s “PureDisplay” screen technology which is claimed to be HDR10 ready. The phone runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB expandable storage.
Nokia 7.1 is equipped with a dual camera with a 12MP f1.8 primary camera with dual-pixel autofocus and a 5MP depth sensor. The Nokia 7.1 also features Zeiss camera optics and an 8 MP selfie snapper.
“It was important for us to bring both ZEISS optics and ‘PureDisplay’ technology together in a device that offers a superior content experience, regardless of whether you’re taking photos for social media or watching your favourite streaming service,” as said by Ajey Mehta, Vice President and Country Head, India, HMD Global.
Nokia 7.1 will go on sale starting 7 December 2018 and will be available across retailers in India and on Nokia’s website in gloss midnight blue and gloss steel colours. The Nokia 7.1 price in India starts at INR 19,999 (USD $287) while the smartphone will be available in Gloss Midnight Blue and Gloss Steel colour options. On the other hand, the Nokia 7.1 will go on sale in the country starting from December 7 across all mobile retailers as well as Nokia.com/phones.

As for launch offers, Nokia 7.1 buyers will get 1TB of 4G data on eligible plans from Airtel such as the Rs. 199 plan while Airtel postpaid customers can enjoy additional data of 120GB along with three months of Netflix subscription and one year of Amazon Prime subscription on plans starting Rs. 499.
On the other hand, Nokia 7.1 buyers using HDFC Bank Credit and Debit cards on EMI transactions done through Pinelabs terminals in offline stores will receive a 10 percent cash back.
On paper, the Nokia 7.1 looks like one of the best phones at the price, it has probably everything you’ll want in a phone. But, due to the drop of Nokia’s popularity might put this phone in backfoot.
