Alex Kipman, Microsoft’s technical fellow and HoloLens creator has recently released a teaser regarding the launch of Microsoft HoloLens 2 ahead of Mobile World Congress 2019. Microsoft HoloLens is all set to get released on 24th February 2019. The teaser trailer is a bit cryptic with the possibility of carbon fiber usage and a display of processor.
Microsoft has been working on its next-generation HoloLens headset for quite some time code-naming it Sydney. The headset is expected to include an improved field of view, and be more comfortable to wear thanks to a lighter frame. HoloLens 2 is expected to be using Qualcomm’s XR1 platform, whereas, more recent reports suggest Microsoft will use Qualcomm Snapdragon 850 ARM processor. Microsoft’s new headset is also set to include the company’s latest generation of the Kinect sensor.
Lastly, we hope that its launch follow the a more comfortable product than its predecessor, HoloLens.
