LG Bendi is on it’s way to beat Samsung X
With rigorous research on the upgradation of the SmartPhone technology, mobile companies are competing for their existence. After the announcement of Samsung X, LG is on its way to release LG Bendi, which could really beat Samsung X.
New LG patent hints at a foldable display phone with a borderless design. The patent shows off a folding smartphone that features a unique display that folds back on itself to leave the front and back of the handset as a pure screen, so you can interact with it when the device is folded. According to the report, you’ll be able to use the device when it’s folded, fully unfolded, and partly unfolded.
The images of the potential future LG foldable phone appeared on a reliable patent spotter website letsgodigital. This showed images of the screen which appears to fold outward rather than inward as the Samsung Infinity Flex Display does.
There has long been speculation that LG was preparing a foldable smartphone, but the rumours have started spreading fast over recent days. While nothing is yet confirmed, LG Bendi seems like the preferred name for the company’s foldable smartphone, which is expected to launch late 2019.
Another amazing part of this patent is that it refers to this as a “borderless display” meaning we could expect bezel-free screen as well as a bendy one. The concept of bezel-free screens on normal phones are still new, to make this jump to a foldable one could be remarkable.
Rumours also suggest that the company could use the platform at CES 2019 to give a glimpse of its first foldable bezel-free screen smartphone. LG’s launch is expected to be followed by Huawei, which is expected to introduce its foldable display phone at MWC 2019.
