Plot / Synopsis
Captain Marvel was originally created by writer Roy Thomas and artist Gene Colan as Ms.
Marvel back in the late 70s, and almost a decade later fans were finally able to discover her alter ago – Carol Danvers. Danvers was serving in the US Air Force when she was exposed to an explosion detonated by the Kree. Her genes were fused with Kree genes as a result of this incident, making her pretty darn powerful. She’s incredibly strong, she can fly, she absorbs and projects energy, and also has a little bit of psychic power too.
The story follows Carol Danvers as she becomes one of the universe’s most powerful heroes when Earth is caught in the middle of a galactic war between two alien races. Set in the 1990s, “Captain Marvel” is an all-new adventure from a previously unseen period in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

This is not a superhero who’s perfect or otherworldly… what makes her special is just how human she is. She’s funny, but doesn’t always tell good jokes. And she can be headstrong and reckless and doesn’t always make the perfect decisions for herself. But at her core, she has so much heart and so much humanity—and all of its messiness.
—Co-director Anna Boden on the film’s title character
Captain Marvel is one of the most anticipated movies of 2019, and there were no shortage of actresses rumored for the role. In the full trailer above, Carol Danvers touches upon the war between the Skrulls and the Kree with Nick Fury. She, herself, is a Kree–a race of “noble warrior heroes.” With no memory of her past, several individuals–leader of Starforce (played by Jude Law), Skrulls leader Talos (played by Mendelsohn), and a mysterious character played by Annette Bening– tell Carol who they think she is as well as her beginning. There were lots of memorable moments in the second trailer like, the old lady on the train, younger Nick Fury purring a cat, etc. to mention a few. Wait till 8th March 2019 to get it linked to “Avengers 4” in the end.
