Adieu STAN LEE, the real-life Superhero
Fabled writer, publisher and editor, the STAN LEE, of Marvel Comics is no more. Aged 95, he left for his heavenly abode on 12th November 2018. He is responsible for the creation of fabulous characters like Black Panther, Spider-man, the X-Men, Mighty Thor, Iron Man, Fantastic Four, Incredible Hulk, Daredevil, Ant-man and countless other characters which fulfilled the superhero genre.
“I used to be embarrassed because I was just a comic-book writer while other people were building bridges or going on to medical careers. And then I began to realize: entertainment is one of the most important things in people’s lives. Without it they might go off the deep end. I feel that if you’re able to entertain people, you’re doing a good thing” _ Stan Lee said.
So successful was his journey with the Marvel Universe he created that it crossed boundaries from pages to screen changing the face of popular TV and movie adaptations.
“He felt an obligation to his fans to keep creating. He loved his life and he loved what he did for a living. His family loved him and his fans loved him. He was irreplaceable.” _his daughter J.C. Lee said in a statement to Reuters.
“Stan Lee was as extraordinary as the characters he created. A superhero in his own right to Marvel fans around the world, Stan had the power to inspire, to entertain and to connect. The scale of his imagination was only exceeded by the size of his heart,” Disney chairman and CEO Bob Iger said in a statement.
Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige also paid tribute saying, “No one has had more of an impact on my career and everything we do at Marvel Studios than Stan Lee. Stan leaves an extraordinary legacy that will outlive us all. Our thoughts are with his daughter, his family and the millions of fans who have been forever touched by Stan’s genius, charisma and heart.”
With a heavy heart we bid adieu to the great entertainer of the comics world. Definitely we will miss his cameos in the upcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe movies. REST IN PEACE The Stan Lee!
